"If money is your hope for independence you will never have it. The only real security in this world is a reserve of knowledge, experience, and ability." – Henry Ford

It's comforting to think that hitting a certain target or achieving a definable milestone will bring us lasting comfort.

Often referred to as the "big break" — the idea that a pivotal moment of some kind is going to occur and change our reality.

What we seem to gloss over, is the thing we're doing right now to produce that moment or milestone, is the only thing we can actually rely on.

The clichéd "trust the process" is really just pointing us toward the only thing we can trust, our own effort.
